NEWS & RUMOURS
Today I'm gonna write about the WWE's decision to put "The Rock" in a title match at the next WWE PPV and why it's a bad decision!
As many of you know, the main event for Vengeance is slated to be Undertaker vs. The Rock. I have received a ton of emails telling me about how bullshit that is seeing that The Rock hasn't been around for a couple months. Let's just take a look at why the WWE might be doing this.
For months now, there have been reports that The Rock may be considering to only do wrestling "Part-time" and start to have a more active role in Hollywood. With the WWE losing ratings faster than ever, they know that losing The Rock would only bury them more. The WWE are thinking that if they can put The Rock into the WWE limelight once again that they might be able to "Sugarcoat" the rock enough to keep him in the WWE. I really see this blowing up in the faces of the WWE though. As many of the wrestlers said when HHH came back. They felt that HHH was getting too much too soon when he returned from his 8 month leave and I totally agree with them! The reason why I think this will blow up in their face is simple. Think about it this way. What would you rather do? Wrestle every week and get beaten around for a mere 4-8 million over the course of a couple years? OR would you rather be featured in a movie which you work for about 3 months on and get 8-10 million just for that one movie?? I don't think this takes much thought! And The Rock is already signed to do another movie in about 3 months which he will need time away to film. There is also talk that a Scorpion King Part 2 is in the works. People in Hollywood are raving about The Rock and everybody see's him as the next big star in Hollywood.
The WWE need to build up a younger star to fill the shoes of people like Steve Austin, And The Rock. Now you might say that is what they are doing with Brock Lesnar. I agree, but Brock isn't even close to the caliber of those two superstars. Hopefully the WWE see's my point of view and begins to understand that what they are doing is WRONG! Yell at ya Monday with my RAW recap!! BANE OUT~!!
